LA TABLE de MARIE-ANGE - Cuisine de terroir inspired by the best Savoyard produce

Close to La Clusaz, la table de Marie-Ange, refined cuisine prepared by Eric Guelpa (Gault & Millau 2 toques) in pure family tradition.
An invitation to rediscover the produce of Savoie: light rissoles of ceps and foie-gras, reblochon tourte, polenta and truffle soup, fish from the Alpine lakes… and also soufflé glacé au Génépi, blueberry and citrus fruit parfait glacé……each dish an ode to the flavours of traditional Savoie.

The cosy ambiance of the restaurant with its sheep skin covered bench seats, wood panelled rooms, cosy corners, spaces for aperitif and herb teas and stunning panoramic views contribute to the pleasure of fine dining.

Eric Guelpa’s Menu

Eric Guelpa’s menu is typically Savoyard.

“From the small reblochon tourte of the aperitif to the delicious walnut tart, the dishes progress through a complete understanding of the region; superb products, simple yet elegant cooking. While drinking a Mondeuse from Trosset or a Chignin from Quenard, don’t miss the wonderful local cheese board”.

In the heart of the Aravis, in the pretty valley of Manigod, Isabelle Guelpa-Loubet and Eric Guelpa welcome you to their hotel and traditional boutique chalets. Hotel, restaurant, individual chalets or studios with amazing views on mountain chains.

In Winter, skiing is 1.5 km away with our private bus available all day.

In Summer, heated outdoor pool and many wonderful walks.

What we like: the heated outdoor pool, skiing 1.5 km away with a private bus service all day.

The panoramic terrace overlooking the Aravis is simply magical and it is difficult to leave Marie-Ange’s table.

Delicious cuisine, regionally authentic and cooked with beautiful products. Even the bread is baked in a wood oven; nothing could be better.

Angels leant over this miraculous chalet, a fairy tale chalet, in which comfort and welcome were created by Marie-Ange, continued by Isabelle Loubet, with her brother Eric Guelpa, with a level of conviviality, far from the palace spirit, rarely seen in the Alps.

It is understandable that guests come back year after year in order to enjoy the ambiance and also Eric’s creations. He finds a way of mixing the Savoyard terroir he knows so well with seasonal ideas like scallops and shell fish or a beautiful fera or any lake fish which he cooks with great skill.

The table des douceurs is a delight. The products are chosen from nearby farms with great expertise and the cellar offers wines of producers who are well established or in the ascendancy.
